Fees and certificates

Fees

The fee for each course is stated in the course programme. The participants pay for additional costs, such as course books and course material, themselves. The course fee is invoiced. The course fees are not refunded. If you are prevented from participating in the course, you need to cancel your study place at least 4 days before the course begins, otherwise 17 € (or the course fee if it is lower than 17 €) will be charged. After the course has started the bill for the course will be sent to your home address.

When you attend a whole year course only for the spring semester, the fee is adjusted according to the lenght of the course.

TYKY-kuntosetelit are accepted as payment for courses.

The Finnish National Board of Education (FNBE) has given Vasa Arbis a subsidy, which allows reduced fees for senior citizens, immigrants, persons with little basic education and persons with learning difficulties.

Unemployed persons receive a discount of 50% if they can show a customer card issued by the Employment and Economical Development Office. Citizens of Vaasa who have been granted the basic unemployment allowance by Kela (Fpa) may apply to be exempted from course fees. They can apply for both themselves and family members living in the same household. Ask for an application form at Vasa Arbis. You find information about the unemployment services in Finland on www.kela.fi > In English > Unemployment. Persons with severe economical difficulties can apply for reduced course fees by contacting the principal.

Certificates

A course certificate is issued upon request if you have taken part in at least ¾ of the course hours and paid the fee.
