Another corona infection discovered at Alma Adult Education Institute in Vaasa

Another student attending the Alma Adult Education Institute has tested positive for a coronavirus infection. In all, 24 people have now been exposed to the virus, four of whom are members of staff at the institute. The student, the members of the group attending the same course as the student, and all teachers and instructors associated with the group, have been placed in quarantine until 1 February. A total of 32 people are now in quarantine.

All those groups in basic adult education, whose teachers and instructors are among those exposed, had already switched to distance learning on 20 January 2021 due to a previous infection. Due to the new infection, distance learning will continue until 5 February. The infection that was discovered has not affected other groups.
