Published: 1.2.2021

A coronavirus infection was discovered at the Teeriniemi Daycare Centre (Teeriniemen päiväkoti) in Vaasa on 31 January. There were 105 potential virus exposures in total.

The staff of the Teeriniemi Daycare Centre, the guardians of the quarantined children as well as the guardians of all the children attending the daycare facility have been informed of the incident. The quarantine affects a total of 80 children and 25 adults.

– Work to identify potential exposure was initiated as soon as information on the infection became available. Five groups upstairs in the nursery have been quarantined and the doors are closed until 4 February. The three groups downstairs continue to work normally, says the daycare centre manager, Virpi Lähteenmäki.
