Opening hours

On this page, you will find the regular opening hours for each museum as well as any special opening hours for the year.

We are open

  • Ostrobothnian Museum: Tuesday – Sunday, 10–17
  • Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art: Tuesday – Sunday, 11–17
  • Tikanoja Art Home: Tuesday – Sunday, 10–17 Closed due to exhibition changeover
  • The Museum of Old Vaasa: (June 1st – August 29th): Tuesday–Sunday, 10–17

Fri 29.3 Good Friday, the museums are closed

Sat 30.3 Holy Saturday, regular opening hours

Sun 31.3 Easter Day, regular opening hours

Tue 30.4 May Day’s Eve, the museums are open until 3 pm

Wed 1.5 May Day, the museums are closed

Thurs 9.5 Ascension Day, regular opening hours

Sun 9.6 EU-elections, Ostrobothnian museum is closed

Fri 21.6–sun 23.6 Midsummer, the museums are closed

July

Thurs 15.8 Night of the Arts in Vaasa, museums are open 3pm to 10pm. Museum of Old Vaasa is closed all day.

Sat 2.11 All Saints Day, regular opening hours

December

Fri 6.12 Independence Day, the museums are closed

Sat 21.12–tue 25.12 Christmas, the museums are closed

Wed 26.12 Boxing Day, regular opening hours

Purchased tickets entitle visitors to same-day access to the Ostrobothnian Museum, Tikanoja Art Museum, and Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art.

Admission fees for 2024:

Students, senior citizens, conscripts, unemployed €7

People under the age 18 for free
