Youth Work Week is celebrated from 5 to 11 October 2026.
The week highlights the important work done by youth workers, organisations, municipalities and parishes for young people.
Vaasa Youth Services will celebrate the theme week with extra activities alongside its regular activities. The programme includes an open house, art activities and a disco.
Open house at the Youth Information and Counselling Centre
On Tuesday 6 October from 10 am to 4 pm, the Youth Information and Counselling Centre will hold an open house.
Come and get to know the centre, its activities and facilities. Coffee and snacks will also be available.

Art workshop at Café Kultsa
On Wednesday 7 October from 2 to 4 pm, a guided watercolour painting workshop will be held at Café Kultsa. The workshop is organised by Reimari Youth Information and Counselling Service and led by artist Mariia Kuts.
Come along to paint and spend some time with art! The workshop is for people under 29.

Open house at Sumppu
On Wednesday 7 October from 5.30 pm onwards, Sumppu will hold an open house.
Young people and parents are welcome to come and explore the renewed youth centre.

Let’s Chat at Café Kultsa
On Thursday 8 October from 3 to 5 pm, Let’s Chat will be held at Café Kultsa. The event is aimed at new residents of Vaasa and international students and is organised by Reimari Youth Information and Counselling Service.
Come and meet new people and learn more about the activities of Vaasa Youth Services. You can also take part in a collage art workshop or paint.
The event is for people under 29.

Disco at Kyrölä Youth Centre
On Friday 9 October from 6 to 9 pm, a disco will be held at Kyrölä Youth Centre for students in grades 7–9 and young people up to the age of 18.
Come and dance and spend the evening together!
