TERRA:FORMS A conversation into the energy structures of Finnish earth.
Article categories: Museums & Folklore
Terra:Forms is an immersive, multi-room exhibition by artist Benjamin Knock at Bock's Energy Hall
Inspired by Ostrobothnia’s ongoing post-glacial rebound—one of the fastest land-rise phenomena on Earth—Terra:Forms examines the slow emergence of new terrain through hand-blown glass, cast brass sculpture, locally sourced stone, large-scale paintings, suspended molten-form installations, LiDAR-based animations, and immersive sonic environments. Drawing connections between deep planetary processes and the visible transformation of the Nordic environment, the exhibition reveals a landscape that is not static, but continuously formed through immense forces acting across vast scales of time.
