Students get a discount on single tickets and travel passes for Lifti public transport services. You can buy discounted tickets after verifying your student status in the Waltti online store.
Verifying your student status
To verify your student status, you must first register and log in to the Waltti online store. Then go to ‘My information’ and select ‘Student verification’.
You can now verify your student status more easily using a new identification method that takes you directly to Studyinfo. Once you allow the Waltti online store to check your student status in Studyinfo, you can immediately buy tickets at the student price.
Buying a student ticket
Once you have verified your student status, you can buy discounted public transport tickets using the Waltti Mobile app or your Waltti travel card.
In the Waltti Mobile app, students can buy discounted Lifti single tickets and 30-day and 90-day travel passes. The same discounted student tickets are also available on a Waltti travel card.
You can load credit onto your Waltti travel card to pay for discounted single tickets, or load a travel pass directly onto the card. Waltti travel cards are available for €5 from the Waltti online store, the Lifti customer service point, Citizen Services, the Vähäkyrö Joint Service Point, or the information desk at the Mustasaari municipal office building.
