Lifti line 30 to take a new route in Vaasa city centre

From Monday 19 October 2026, the route of Lifti line 30 will change in Vaasa city centre. The aim of the change is to reduce delays. The timetable for line 30 will remain unchanged.
In future, Lifti line 30 will run through the city centre via Rantamaantie – Hietalahdenkatu – Koulukatu – Korsholmanpuistikko – Raastuvankatu – Vaasanpuistikko. The route change will apply in both directions.
City Hall stop will be replaced by Raastuvankatu 34
As a result of the route change, three stops will be removed from line 30: Vaasanpuistikko 12, Vaasanpuistikko 7/City Hall and Koulukatu 51.
The change will particularly affect students who have been catching the bus from the City Hall stop in the afternoons. Going forward, the nearest alternative stop will be Raastuvankatu 34, which passengers can use instead of the City Hall stop.
The changes in bus stops will also be updated in the route planner.
Better punctuality for line 30
The route change is intended to improve the service’s punctuality. The current route is often delayed by congestion at the junction of Koulukatu and Vaasanpuistikko during the morning peak.
