Experience electric mobility in Vaasa!

Would you like to take a short drive with the Mayor or the Chair of the City Board and chat about electric driving or current issues in Vaasa?  

Are you wondering if you read that correctly? Absolutely.  

From Tuesday to Friday 28–31 October, a group of senior city officials and politicians from the City of Vaasa will be taking the wheel of the shared Mini-Lifti electric cars, ready to take residents for a drive around the city centre. Experience Vaasa in an electric car and book your ride here. 

During our campaign, the Mini-Lifti chauffeurs will include: 

  • Mayor Tomas Häyry 
  • Chairman of the City Council  Frans Villanen 
  • Chairman of the City Board Jasmin Granholm 
  • Director of Finance and Strategy Cecilia Raunio 
  • Director of Communications and Marketing Leena Forsén 
  • Director of the Urban Environment Department Markku Järvelä 
  • Director of Education Christina Knookala 
  • Director of Human Resources Tuulikki Kruhse-Poutanen 

There are two route options to choose from: the Onkilahti Loop or the Harbour Tour. Passengers may also suggest their own route within approximately 3 km from Vaasa city centre. 

Rules

To ensure a safe and pleasant ride for everyone, please follow these rules: 

  • Arrive on time, preferably 5–10 minutes before your scheduled ride begins.  
  • Videoing, recording or any other form of capturing is not permitted during the ride. This applies to video, audio and photographs. 
  • Each ride can accommodate 1 to 3 people from the same group. 
  • If your group includes children who require a safety seat, please bring your own. The drivers cannot provide a safety seat. 
  • All passengers must wear a seat belt.  
  • The driver decides the final route. The route may vary depending on the conversation, schedule and traffic conditions.
