an interactive exhibition celebrating KAJ’s productions on our stages

Explore ‘KAJ WAS HERE’ at Wasa Teater, an interactive exhibition celebrating KAJ’s productions on our stages. From 30 April to 31 August 2025, you can get a glimpse into a part of KAJ’s and Wasa Teater’s creative universe. Here you can see photographs and videos taken both on and behind the scenes. Admire costumes, props and set designs that have fascinated audiences and participate in activities suitable for all ages.

Welcome to Sandögatan 7 in Vaasa, where every part of the exhibition offers new discoveries. The entrance fee is €6 / €4 per person, making this an accessible experience for everyone.

At the exhibition, you will get acquainted with photographs and video clips from the performances, see how theatre magic is created with costumes, props and set design elements. Among other things, the quick scene changes in the hitsong ‘Beverly Hills’ get their own corner. The ‘KAJ WAS HERE’ exhibition also offers unique interviews and behind-the-scenes insights.

Experience the wall from ‘Gambämark’ and challenge the power of the small community by putting yourself in Kurt Byman’s iconic throne. Syjuntan demonstrates grassroots rebellion and Mäskis-Gunnar teaches dance steps. The cruise hostess Sinikka welcomes everyone aboard ‘Botnia Paradise’ and in the Swan Svante’s corner there are programmes for the children.

We look forward to welcoming you to this unique exhibition that celebrates KAJ’s creative journey and their long-standing collaboration with Wasa Teater.
