A new multi-purpose sports court to be built at Kasarmintori by autumn

A new multi-purpose sports court will be constructed at Vaasa’s Kasarmintori by autumn. The outdoor basketball and floorball court will be built next to the synthetic turf pitch on Kasarminkatu.
The new multi-purpose sports court will feature a floorball court and a basketball court.
The court area is fenced, and the playing surface measures 40 x 20 metres. The court will feature four basketball hoops, higher fencing behind the baskets, and a low-sided rink for floorball.
The multi-purpose court is intended for all residents of Vaasa, with a particular focus on children and young people. The court will not have reserved time slots.
The estimated cost of the project is €130,000. The Board of Culture and Sports approved the construction of the multi-purpose court at its meeting on 22 April 2025.
