Take the survey and help us find the best places for benches to rest and socialise

Published: 3.11.2026

We want to make Vaasa even more welcoming and accessible by adding more benches where people can socialise and take a break. We are also working to make the benches more age-friendly.

A ‘meeting bench’ is a place where you can take a break, meet people and spend time enjoying the surrounding nature or cityscape.

By taking part in this survey, you can help us identify the best places for the new benches.

The survey is also available at Citizen Services located in Tammipiha (Teräksenkuja 1) and at Citizen Services Vähäkyrö (Vähänkyröntie 11) as well as Vaasa libraries and Vuorikoti.

Your views will help make the city more pleasant and accessible for everyone!

New benches to be installed next year

The locations for the new benches will be chosen based on the suggestions received through the survey.

We aim to install benches in different parts of the city over the course of next year. It may not be possible to install benches in all the suggested locations.
