Vaasa’s streets were once again bursting with energy industry experts, decision-makers and company representatives during international EnergyWeek, held from the 16th to the 19th of March. The event brought together more than 11 000 visitors to the events during the week from a total of 50 countries.

EnergyWeek is one of the Nordic countries’ most important events in the energy sector. Every year, it brings together industry stakeholders to discuss the energy transition, new technologies and solutions for a sustainable energy system.

The event included as many as 41 seminars, featuring more than 250 speakers. In addition, it offered numerous networking opportunities, exhibitions and matchmaking introductions for companies and organisations in the industry.

A meeting place for the energy sector

EnergyWeek once again reaffirmed Vaasa’s status as an international hub for energy technology. Every year, the event brings together companies, research organisations and decision-makers from around the world to discuss current solutions for the energy transition.

“The changes implemented since the last EnergyWeek – such as using the Ritz for seminars and setting up a cloakroom outdoors – allowed the event to grow. Especially noteworthy in the program was the celebration of Vaasa Green Leaf 2026, as well as the new successful initiative EnergyWeek NextGen, which brought EnergyWeek to the children and young people aged between 6 and 16,” says Kristoffer Jansson, Communications & Brand Manager of EnergyVaasa.

The themes of the week included energy and climate, wind and renewable energy, energy storage and clean gas energy. The seminars, panel discussions and numerous exhibitions centred on these themes highlighted the latest innovations in the sector, as well as future solutions for the development of the energy system.

Networking and exciting new opportunities

Every year, EnergyWeek provides a unique platform for companies, research organisations and decision-makers to come together. The event also featured several evening gatherings and networking events, where participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
