Järvikatu to be partially closed for the rest of the year – bus routes affected

Järvikatu will be closed to all traffic between Kirkkopuistikko and Pitkäkatu from 1 September to 31 December 2025 due to the demolition of an industrial hall.
In addition, the pavement on Pitkäkatu will be closed between Järvikatu and Kalastajankatu, and parking on Pitkäkatu will be temporarily prohibited near the demolition site.
Access will be provided to the parking area at the small boat harbour along Järvikatu.
Impact on public transport
Lifti line 4V will follow an alternative route during the demolition work. The changes will be updated in the route planner when the work begins.
Line 4V: Gerby – City Centre – Airport:
- Detour route Wolffintie-Kirkkopuistikko-Kirjastonkatu-Ratakatu-Pitkäkatu-Vuorikatu-Vöyrinkatu-Vaasanpuistikko
- This route will not serve the bust stop at Vöyrinkatu 26.
Line 4V: Airport – City Centre – Gerby:
- Detour route Raastuvankatu-Hietasaarenkatu-Konepajankatu-Vöyrinkatu-Vuorikatu-Pitkäkatu-Kirjastokatu-Kirkkopuistikko
- This route will not serve the following bust stops: Pitkäkatu 25, Vuorikatu 8, Vöyrinkatu 21, and Vöyrinkatu 9.
