Lifti’s summer timetables to start on 2 June

The summer timetables for Lifti, the public transport service in Vaasa and Mustasaari, will be in effect from 2 June to 3 August 2025. The summer brings some changes to public transport. You can find detailed departure times and route descriptions on Lifti’s website.
Lifti’s summer timetables include some changes to the schedules of certain routes and to the call times for service buses. As part of the summer timetable, new call times will be introduced for service buses to improve traffic safety and transport planning. You can check the call times on Lifti’s website or in the printed timetable booklet.
The service bus must be booked two working days in advance, and cancellations can be made by text message or via WhatsApp. When booking a journey, remember to give the driver the passenger’s name, departure location, destination, details of any accompanying passengers, and any mobility aids (such as a wheelchair or a rollator). Changes to Lifti’s timetables for the summer:
- There may be minor timetable changes of a few minutes on lines 1 and 7.
- Line 13 (to Vaasa port) will continue to operate according to the ferry schedules. From the start of the new contract period on 1 May 2025, the service will operate from 6.00 to 23.15. If the ferry arrives outside these hours, the city will not provide transport services to and from the port.
- Two midday departures on line 30 on weekdays will be postponed by an hour.
- Special timetables: On Midsummer’s Eve, 20 June, Saturday timetables will run until 14. There will be no service on Midsummer’s Day, 21 June.

Lifti is affordable, sustainable, and increasingly popular
Lifti public transport has proven to be a great success. A single ticket on Lifti costs just €1.80, and concession and season tickets make travelling even more affordable. Lifti’s bus fares are among the lowest in Finland. A key element of Lifti’s success is its commitment to sustainable values. The buses mainly run on biogas and biodiesel. Moreover, Lifti’s passenger numbers have increased at a record pace compared to other regions in Finland. In 2024, passenger numbers were over 50% higher than in 2019, with a 12% increase from 2023 to 2024 alone.
