LittFest is just around the corner – the printed programme is now available

Vaasa LittFest will take place from 13 to 15 November 2025. The three-day event will feature author interviews, panel discussions and evening events exploring this year’s theme, Border(s), from many different perspectives.

The festival’s printed programme is now available at libraries. Browse the programme and pick out your highlights in advance.

Guests appearing on the LittFest stage include Finlandia Prize-winning author Pajtim Statovci, northern storyteller Mikael Niemi, and philosopher Frank Martela as well as  comedian, radio personality and author Ted Forsström, graphic designer and comic artist Kasper Strömman, and literary translators Sampsa Peltonen and Kersti Juva, to name just a few.

The opening of the LittFest literature festival will take place on Thursday 13 November from 15.00 to 15.45 in the Draama Room at the Main Library, with author Mikko Kamula and critic Aleksis Salusjärvi in attendance. Coffee will be served to the first hundred guests.

Literature and music

Literature will share the spotlight with music, as actress and author Laura Malmivaara performs alongside vibraphonist Arttu Takalo and the Vaasa City Orchestra on Friday 14 November at 18.00. The festival will end with the Rajatila/Borderline evening on Saturday 15 November from 18.00 to 20.00, hosted by Vaasa’s very own horror duo, Tiina and Marko Hautala.
