The City of Vaasa’s adjusted opening hours for summer 2025

Some city departments will follow adjusted opening hours in the summer. The adjusted opening hours are compiled on this page, which will be updated throughout the summer as needed.
Building Control will be closed from 7 to 25 July 2025.
Citizen Services and the Welcome Office will be open Mon-Thu from 10 to 16 and Fri from 10 to 15 between 16 June and 17 August 2025.
City planning will be closed from 7 to 27 July 2025.
Early Childhood Education and Care: The following ECEC units will remain open throughout the summer: Lyhty Daycare, English Playschool, Inkerinpuisto Daycare (Pitkäkatu 78), Punahilkka Daycare (extended hours/’shift care’), Länsimetsä Daycare, Pikkuponi Daycare, Malmgården Daycare, Metsäkallio Daycare, Nappulaketo, Kalliokatu Daycare, Teeriniemi Daycare, Tuulenpesä Daycare and Villi Länsi Daycare.
Employment Services’ Vaasa office and the Integration Services Reception will be closed from 7 to 20 July. During this period, services are available by prior appointment only. However, the Silta project offers assistance without an appointment, for example with using online services, in the Employment Services lobby in Vaasa from 3 June to 27 August, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9 and 11.
Graphic Services: Graphic design will be closed from 7 to 25 July 2025, and the digital print is closed from 3 July to 8 August 2025.
Housing consultation (Korsholmanpuistikko 44, 5th floor) will be closed 21.7.-3.8.2025.

The Regional Waste Management Board office will be closed from 14 to 25 July 2025.
Real Estate Office’s customer service at the Technical Services office building at Kirkkopuistikko 26 will be closed from 7 to 27 July 2025.
Real Estate Office’s Measuring Service customer service at Sorakatu 2–4 will be closed from 14 to 27 July 2025.
Sports Services will be closed from 7 to 25 July 2025.
Vaasa Swimming Hall will be closed from 7 July to 4 August 2025. The Swimming Hall’s summer opening hours are available here.
Vähäkyrö joint service point will close early at 16.00 on Thursday 19 June 2025.
Youth Services: The youth centres and the indoor skate park will be closed for the summer break. Ristikka will remain open until Saturday, 28 June. The youth centres will reopen on Monday, 11 August, and the indoor skate park on Monday, 1 September. The Reimari Youth Information and Counselling Service will be open from 2 June to 31 July 2025, Tuesday to Thursday from 10 to 16. The Reimari chat will be open throughout the summer, Monday to Friday from 10 to 15. The Nuoli youth services campervan will be touring the city throughout the summer. Check the schedule here. Youth workers and specialised youth workers from the street violence prevention project will be out and about in Vaasa this summer, engaging with young people.
The Onkilahti traffic park will be open all summer, Monday to Friday from 12 to 18, and Saturday to Sunday from 12 to 16.
