The City of Vaasa’s small animal clinic is relocating to the Barracks area
Published: 20.5.2025
The City of Vaasa’s veterinarian’s practice will move from Suvilahti to the Barracks area on Monday 26 May. On the opening day, the clinic will be open to visitors from 13 to 15. The move will mean better facilities and a more convenient location.
As of Monday 26 May, the city’s veterinary services will be located at Artellikuja 6. The small animal clinic has moved into newly renovated premises in the city-owned former Main Guard building.
Due to the move, the current clinic in Suvilahti will be closed on Thursday and Friday, 22–23 May, and services there will end.
The city’s veterinary services will continue as usual in the new premises. Opening hours and services will also remain unchanged. The new location provides more space, better transport connections, and more parking spaces. The peaceful, animal-friendly setting ensures a smoother experience for both pets and their owners.
Open house: explore the new premises and services
There will be an open house in the new premises on Monday 26 May from 13 to 15. During the open house, you are welcome to tour the new facilities, learn about the services, and meet the staff. Pets are also welcome.
The city’s veterinary services include diagnosing and treating animal illnesses and health conditions, preventive care, veterinary certificates, and, when necessary, euthanasia. Basic veterinary services are available on weekdays during office hours. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day.
