Published: 26.11.2025

The traditional Independence Day programme on 6 December 2025 will focus on the war heroes’ graves, Vaasa and Vähäkyrö churches, and Vaasa City Hall. The daytime celebration organised by the City of Vaasa will once again be aimed at families with children.

The Independence Day celebration for families will be held on Saturday 6 December 2025, from 14 to 16 at Vaasa City Hall. The event, organised over the past three years, has become a popular favourite among families in Vaasa.

The children’s celebration will feature circus performances by the group Sweet Circus at 14 and 15, as well as workshops where anyone can try out circus equipment and tricks. Guests will also have the chance to take photos against a circus-themed backdrop.

The event is open to all, free of charge, and will include a juice service. The celebration is organised by the city’s Culture and Library Services.
