Who can sign up as performers?

Choirs of all levels and styles are welcome:

We do not. The software is the choir’s own choice. In the registration form, you can indicate your preferences regarding the type and atmosphere of the concert.

Does it cost to participate in choirs?

No. The festival offers choirs free participation and an open opportunity to perform. This is one of the fundamental principles of the event.

Is the Vaasa Choir Festival a competition?

No, it isn’t. The event is a communal, warm-hearted, and open celebration marking the end of the singing season, focusing on the experience, connections, and togetherness rather than competition.

How many performances does a choir usually have?

Most choirs have 1–3 performances, depending on the preferences indicated in the registration form.

Can the choir record its own performances?

Yes, as long as the recording does not disturb the rest of the program.
