    Norrvalla

    Norrvalla is a regional centre for sport and an excellent place for recreation and training sessions for large or small groups.

    For exercise, Norrvalla has a modern full size sports hall, a gym for strength and condition training, spinning cycles, exercise tracks, swimming pool and therapy pool, heated artificial grass pitch (105 m x 68 m) and football hall (64 m x 40 m).

    You can try out a range of sporting activities at Norrvalla in Vörå. There are premises for large or small groups. Meals are served in Elsa’s Kitchen. Nature invites you to relax in the open air

  • Onkilahti activity park

    Park Onkilahti is a popular recreational area for the city’s residents both in summer and winter.

    The park consists of an open landscape and stretches around rhe bay Onkilahti. In the area, there is an activity park with beach volleyball courts, a petanque court, and a fitness station specifically designed for seniors. For children, there is a big playground.

    In the park, there is a grill that can be used for picnics (bring charcoal). Park Onkilahti is also a popular spot for fishing with a fishing rod.

    Also Vasa Skatepark is located in a central position within Onkilahti activity park.

  • Rajavuoren luontoreitit

    Laihia

    In the area, there are hiking trails and lean-tos, as well as an approximately 8-meter high observation tower with stunning views. Firewood is delivered to the lean-tos a few times a year. During the winter, there are also unlit ski trails in the area. The Rajavuori hiking trail is approximately 5.5 km long, forming a circular route. The trail starts from the wilderness and hiking center.

    From Rajavuori, there is a connection to Levälampi, a recreational area maintained by Metsähallitus on the border of Kurikka and Laihia. Levälampi is also connected to Jurva’s Pässilä and further to Kalajaisjärvi in Ilmajoki. The route is known as the “Kurjenkierros,” and the journey from Rajavuori to Kalajaisjärvi covers a distance of 30 km.”

Here you can during all 4 seasons enjoy nature and walk, ski, grill, walk the exercise stairs, go roller skiing, practice shooting, swim, pick mushrooms and berries, play in the playground or just enjoy your lunch bag.

    Welcome to Vörå ski center! In winter, Vörå ski center offers excellent opportunities for skiing both in cross country and downhill. In the summer the tracks function exercise trails.

  • Öjberget winter sport center

    At the Öjberget winter sports center, you can exercise downhill and cross-country skiing and engage in outdoor activities. There are also a toboggan run for the youngest in the family. In the area there is a barbecue hut where you can grill sausages and a ski lodge where Vaasa Ski Club has a café.

    On the mountain there is also the fitness staircase which has 271 steps and is open to everyone. In the summer, the place can be used e.g. for an excursion: by raising the condition on the slope or hiking along a nature trail where the terrain is interesting and varied.
