ÄÄNIASEMA - experimental music club

Article categories: Music

Local artists and the Jyväskylä band Pompeijin Tuho perform in the borderland between art and music.

ÄÄNIASEMA makes a stop in Jeppis on November 15th!

The experimental music club ÄÄNIASEMA, created by the creative souls at Taidetila Hoppa in Jyväskylä, is coming to Black Box in collaboration with Jakarte!

The artist team from Hopanpohja ry will be doing a sound art residency with Jakarte and Juke from November 14–21 – and they’re bringing a whole event with them!

The evening kicks off with local talents in music, sound, and art in a broad sense, continues with Jyväskylä’s own Pompeijin Tuho, and ends with an open jam session where everyone is welcome to join!

Skruvster will be selling snacks and drinks! The event is free and open for all, with no alcohol served. After the jam, there will be an 18+ afterparty at Black Sheep with DJ Hoikkapoika.

ON STAGE:

JUKKI FINHOLM (sound art):
Through deconstruction and reconstruction, a new soundscape is woven.

ROSER GABRIEL (folkish sound bath):
Using accordion and singing bowls, Roser Gabriel leads us along musical paths walked by women and their connection to nature.

HANNES SJÖBLOM (sound art):
Digital overstimulation – a performance inspired by our era’s digital multitasking. By improvising with sounds from multiple devices at once, Sjöblom explores how noise and overload affect our focus.

t0mpp1 (midiotic acid jams):
A 90s-style rave-flavored live set! t0mpp1 is also responsible for lights and projections throughout the evening.

POMPEIJIN TUHO (noisy melodies):
The headlining act from Jyväskylä – Toni Essel, Jesi Blomgren, and Joonas Ahtikallio – deliver a volcanic show full of energy and noisy melodies.

Jakarte wishes to thank its supporters and collaborators:
Svenska Kulturfonden, Amos Andersson’s Foundation, and the Swedish Ostrobothnian Association, as well as Juke, Novia UAS, YA, Skruvster, and Black Sheep!
