Vaasa City Orchestra also belongs to every resident of Vähäkyrö and we always look forward to perform in our eastern district. To open the concert season, the orchestra will present a powerful selection of Renaissance and Baroque music at Vähäkyrö Church under the direction of Petteri Pitko, one of Finland’s leading harpsichordists. In the first half of the concert, the delicate tones of the gamba ensemble alternate with virtuosic harpsichord solos. After the intermission, the audience will experience pure musical fireworks, without any fire hazard, as the full orchestra tackles some of the most important orchestral works by Bach and Georg Friedrich Händel.
