**Georg Marander + Avec**

Georg Marander + Avec is Vaasa’s only glittery, electro-acoustic indie duo inspired by Italo disco. The duo consists of Axel Brink (producer, guitarist, singer and songwriter) and Izabella Fant (vocals and drum machine).

Georg Marander began as Axel Brink’s solo project when, during an idle and hungover day in 2019, he realized that Italo disco might actually work in Finland Swedish. No sooner said than done—the original inspiration led to the songs “Begrava mig” (“Bury Me”) and “Vi åker till Italien” (“We’re Going to Italy”), the latter of which was named “Best Right Now” by Gaffa in late summer 2020.

In 2023, Avec (Izabella Fant) joined the project. Marander had been booked to perform at Stockholm Culture Night and needed reinforcement. He didn’t have to look any further than his own home.

Since then, Georg Marander + Avec have released several singles together, including “Wasalandia” (2023), “Merlin”* (2024), “Kalla kriget” (“The Cold War”, 2025) and “Mors lilla Olle” (2025). The duo is currently working on an EP.

Marander and Avec have performed along Finland’s west coast as well as in Stockholm, Umeå, and at the WONDERFUL Kalabalik Festival in Alvesta.

Their music has also evolved from fairly pure Italo disco into a blend that draws inspiration from synth-pop, post-punk, and indie rock.

Marander + Avec is DIY, witty, socially aware, melodic, and highly danceable.

**JOCCO**

Under the moniker JOCCO, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joacim Oksanen creates a sound where the attitude and drive of indie rock meet the groove and shine of disco.

With his debut EP *“Nobody’s Watching”*, JOCCO invites you to a house party where everything seems to go wrong.

The melancholic lyrics and mood of the songs are supported by a sound that has been compared to Prince and LCD Soundsystem.
