Environmentally friendly vehicles event, arranged by Merinova, to present e-, biogas- and bioethanol vehicles.

What: Environmentally friendly vehicles event
Where and when: At Vaasa market square on Saturday 18 March 2023, 11.00 – 15.00 (11 am – 3 pm).
Why: The event exhibits electric-, biogas- and bioethanol vehicles, and a hybrid forest harvester.

The vehicle exhibit is a side event of Energyweek. Everyone interested in environmentally friendly vehicles are welcome to join! The event exhibits electric-, biogas- and bioethanol vehicles, and a hybrid forest harvester. Vehicles presented by: City of Vaasa, local waste treatment company Stormossen, car dealer companies Rinta-Jouppi, Käyttöauto, Autoliike Lähdemäki, Automaa, Arton Auto, the local electricity company Vaasan Sähkö, and the educational organisations Vamia and Yrkesakademin i Österbotten (YA), and the Finnish forest machine manufacturer Logset.

Experts from Vamia and Yrkes Akademi answer all questions concerning the maintenance of the cars and introduce the cars used by their organisations. At the market square you will also learn how a car running on petrol can be converted into a natural gas or ethanol-powered vehicle. Charging stations of electric vehicles are also presented, by Vaasan sähkö. You can also get acquainted with Mini-Lifti, the shared-use car, and take part in a raffle!

The event is organised for the fifth time now, while two of these events had to be cancelled due to the Covid19-pandemic. Last year, the event had about 450 visitors and altogether 28 cars from six companies were exhibited. All the car import companies located in Vaasa and Tervajoki were represented.
