Fortune Favors the Brave – From 6 June 2023, Pedagogy, Pitkänsillankatu 28 (Part of our museums permanent exhibitions)

The exhibition Fortune Favors the Brave offers glimpses of and scenes from the colorful history of Kokkola, where the bold and resourceful residents of Kokkola play the leading roles. Narrators are newcomers and old families of Kokkola.

The exhibition is built around themes that give a voice to the materials gathered from the Museum’s collections and documents: pioneers, rescuers, defenders, builders, talents and entrepreneurs. The exhibition visitors can experience views of everyday life: a stroll along Isokatu, a visit to the pharmacy and the hardware store, a workday in front of the sewing machine or at the boatyard, a picnic in Pikiruukki with a view of the sea. The exhibition is in Finnish and Swedish.

The museum exhibitions are free to all visitors!
