‘If Shadows Are Weightless, How Come They Are So Heavy? dives into the world of shadows. The intangible quality of shadows provides a fascinating basis for the dialogue between contemporary ballet and jazz music. In the piece, the musician’s mental landscape is depicted on the stage as changing moods, emotions and mental images. The work was DanceWorks Helsinki’s first premiere and was first performed on 29.1.2025 at the Alexander Theatre, Helsinki.
