nabbteeri – The Garden of Scavengers: vernissage

Article categories: Museums & Folklore

Welcome to the vernissage of the exhibition nabbteeri – The Garden of Scavengers at the Ostrobothnian Museum.

The artist collective nabbteeri, considered among the most significant contemporary artists in the region, is well known both nationally and internationally. Their work is characterized by an experimental and ecological approach, often beginning with site-specific and locally found materials. Their solo exhibition at the Ostrobothnian Museum centers around the installation Mutant and Nondurable (2025), in which they use slide projectors. Insects and invertebrates take center stage as the artists explore the contradictions of art and the acceptance of the unfamiliar. The care of their own garden is an essential part of their artistic practice.
