Outi Rämö: Strange places. Paintings

“I have studied atlases a lot and wondered about exotic places. I would love to travel just about anywhere myself. I am interested in the strange atmosphere that exists in a certain place. Or in a movie. In my paintings, I have used vacation photos sent by friends or ones I have taken myself as a starting point. The paintings are large oil and acrylic paintings. In them, color is always the starting point; I have explored color mixtures and relationships.”
