Paula Blåfield Marianne Maans – Dare to Stop

This year, Vaasa City Art Gallery will host exhibitions in cooperation with Vaasa City Culture Services. The second exhibition organized by the Culture Services is a co-exhibition with artist Paula Blåfield and musician Marianne Maans.

The space features abstract ceramic sculptures and paintings Blåfield. The works are low and can be touched. Through presence and stopping, the work, Dare to Stop, reflects on looking into one’s innermost self, the courage to face oneself as it is right now. By accepting the feeling experienced through presence and stopping, one can move forward towards something new and empowering.

The sound world created by Maans creates a peaceful atmosphere in the space that engages in dialogue with works of art. The exhibition also includes word art featuring artists’ thoughts on the theme. The space has chairs and rest areas.
