Actor and musician Susanne Marins will release her song "Rykte i Byin", and workshops on dance and storytelling.

On the occasion of the release of the song “Rykte i byin” by Susanne Marins, we would like to offer you a full day at Malakta where we focus on sexual well-being. Our sexuality can be a source of vitality and joy, but it can also be inhibited and marked by difficult experiences.
In a safe, bubbly and relaxed atmosphere we offer workshops in chakra dance and storytelling, music performances by Susanne Marins, Carla Fri and Charlotta Kerbs and talks by Tessi Backas and Marina Kronkvist.
During the day you can also buy Daniela Franzell’s wonderful She’s from Finland postcards.
Malax Mittemellan Mathorna will provide the catering.
The event is a collaboration between GLÖD storytelling centre rf, Art in Malakta rf and Susanne Marins.

Chakra dance
A Chakra Dance workshop involves spontaneous dancing to music specifically designed to resonate with each of our major chakras, or energy centers. Its founder, Australian-born Natalie Southgate, claims that the practice can release blocked energies and calm chakras that have become overactive. “Chakra dance helps restore participants to a balanced state of well-being where all natural energies (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) once again flow freely,” says Southgate.
Today we focus on our sacral chakra ( navel chakra) whose element is water. This includes the sexual organs and the chakra represents sexuality, desire, creativity, joy, spontaneity and pleasure. The workshop includes a short meditation, warm-up, spontaneous dance and painting a mandala.
The dance is meditative and you do it with your eyes closed. It’s an opportunity to settle into yourself and get in touch with your body and emotions.

Rumour in the Village release concert
Rykte i byin is part of the musical storytelling performance “Vilda, visa, vilsna” (Wild, wise, lost) that the team Susanne Marins, Lina Teir, Jostein Austvik and Carla Fri made together with GLÖD storytelling centre at Malakta in Finland last year and at Fortellerfestivalen in Norway in early April.
Susanne Marins has created Rykte i byin, inspired by experiences from her teenage years. During the spring, Susanne, Lina and Jostein recorded the song, which has elements of folk music, punk and polka, and now it is finally seeing the light of day. Tonight you can hear it and enjoy other great performances that touch on the theme of the day.
