Social Wednesday is an event for local businesses and jobseekers with an international background. The aim is to create a meeting place where employers and potential employees can connect and to make it easier to take the first steps into working life. Networks and opportunities to meet are often key to finding the right match.
We hope that Social Wednesday will be an enjoyable and inspiring part of both the integration and employment process in Malax, Korsnäs and Korsholm.
We would like to welcome you to Social Wednesday on 16 September 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Korsholm Education Campus in Smedsby. Places are limited.
The Programme:
• Welcome
• Inspirational talks – perspectives from employers and employees
Experiences from local employers, as well as personal stories from people who have moved to Finland about integration and finding their place in the Finnish labour market.
• Networking and Meet & Connect
• Coffee and refreshments
The event is funded by the European Union and organised in cooperation with the municipalities of Malax, Korsholm and Korsnäs, Yrkesakademin i Österbotten, and the City of Vaasa’s SILTA-BRON project.
