Korsholms Teater celebrates 50 years by producing the musical Spring Awakening

Korsholms Teater celebrates its 50th anniversary in the summer of 2025.
To mark the centenary year, KT will give the first performance of the Broadway musical “WAKENING” – Spring’s awakening.

The 2006 Rock and Youth Musical is written by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater and is based on Frank Wedekind’s play Frühlings Erwachen – Spring’s Awakening, from 1891. The play was controversial and it took many years before it saw daylight on a theatre scene.

Premiere Båskasvallen 4.7 at 7 p.m.

The play is in Swedish. The shows on 4.7, 11.7, 18.7, 20.7 and 25.7 will have english subtitles. This will be done through an app on your smartphone.

Please note that the performance deals with themes that can be perceived as upsetting, such as sexual violence, violence, abortion, death and suicide. Because of these themes, the age limit of the play is 13 years
