The tango, which was born in the port area of Rio de la Plata, has risen from the roughest back streets of Buenos Aires to the finest salons in the world. Now also in Ostrobothnia!

The concert with TRIO HEISKANEN – MAANS – PASSO offers music composed by the foremost masters of Argentine tango such as Astor Piazzolla, Anibal Troilo, Carlos Gardel and others. The soul of tango in the Argentine accordion bandoneon, together with the vocals, violins and piano, sings its heart out with beauty, power, love and heat.

Hedda Heiskanen, Malmö (violin and piano) was born and raised in Kristiinankaupunki. In 2000 she moved to Malmö and is a trained classical violinist and freelances both in symphony orchestras, as a chamber musician and soloist. Hedda plays in Orquesta Tangarte as well as several other bands and has a great curiosity for other cultures, playing styles and musical expressions.

Marianne Maans, Turku (vocals and violin) encounter with Argentine tango in 1987 there was love at first sight. In recent years, she has finally responded to her passionate desire to sing Argentine tango. Marianne is a proffessional folk musician playing both traditional and contemporary folkmusic solo and in ensembles, with Finland-Swedish folkmusic as her speciality.

Juanjo Passo, Malmö (bandoneon and guitar) was born in Buenos Aires and grew up with tango. Since the age of sixteen, he has accompanied his tango-singing father on the guitar. Juanjo leads the Orquesta Tangarte band from Malmö and has played the tango instrument bandoneon since 2009.
