Summer activities for primary school children in librairies in Vaasa
Vaasa City Library will arrange summer activities for primary school children in its libraries this summer. The Fairytale Summer will take place 1 – 25 June at the Main Library and in five branch libraries. The activities are planned for children aged 7-10 years.
The Fairytale Summer program is based on stories. Stories and information will be explored in various ways through literary art, drama, games, play and arts and crafts. Our summer library buddies Sanna and Sakke are responsible for the planning and running of the activities.
The Fairytale Summer is mainly bilingual (Finnish and Swedish) and free of charge. Please register your child in advance on library website.
The maximum number of participants is 12 at the branch libraries and 20 at the Main Library. Registrations will be accepted, as long as there are places available.
The activities will take place both indoors and outdoors. Please make sure that your child is dressed according to the weather and brings his/her own water bottle and snacks if needed. Please let us know if your child cannot take part in the activities due to illness or some other causes.
