A new, vibrant, and true-to-life musical dives into the life story of Kaija Koo
– exploring how Kaija became the beloved icon of all of Finland.
Blending fact and fiction, the story travels through upps and downs, growth,
survival, and overcoming adversity – carried by Kaija’s most cherished songs.
Hit songs like Tinakenkätyttö, Supernaiset, and Kuka keksi rakkauden are ignited
into a fresh blaze in this musical, interpreted by the entire ensemble.

Audiences can expect a visually dazzling musical experience where spectacle meets soulfulness.
This is a story of courage and finding one’s own voice. Kaija’s story has never been told like this before.
The new script is written by Hanna-Mari Mantere and Elina Ylisuvanto. Directed by Marco Bjurström.
In the creative production alongside Bjurström are musical director Sauli Perälä, choreographer Mindy Lindblom,
set designer Tinde Lappalainen, and costume designer Emilia Eriksson.
