Martin Palmer´s Tango Mass – Misa a Buenos Aires
In Palmer’s Tango Mass, Argentinian tango rhythm and sound meet with Bach’s motif and counterpoint. The Argentinian Martín Palmeri composed Misatango in 1996, which consists of Latin mass texts and has been strongly influenced by the Argentine Tango Nuevo. At the same time, in the structure of the work, you can find influences of the classical composition style and echoes of Piazzolla in the melodies.
