The Youth Culture Festival is a nationwide youth arts festival taking place in several cities across Finland in spring 2026. In Vaasa, the event will be held on April 17–18 in the Main Library’s Draama Hall and other library spaces.

The event is free and open to everyone!

🕒 Event schedule:

Friday, April 17 – Vaasa Main Library:
• 16:00 Event starts
• 16:30–17:30 Random Play Dance (Draama Hall)
• 17:30–18:30 Calligraphy workshop & Hanbok outfits (lobby area)
• 18:30–19:30 Random Play Dance (Draama Hall)
• 20:00–21:30 Short film screening: short films and animations made by young people from Vaasa (Draama Hall)

Saturday, April 18 – Draama Hall, Vaasa Main Library:
• 17:00–21:15 Live music, seven performers (detailed schedule will be announced later)

🎨 In the Matilda space of the library, various artworks will be on display throughout the week, including paintings and a multidisciplinary installation created by Taikon students.

Vaasa Main Library is open Mon–Thu 10:00–20:00, Fri April 17 from 10:00–17:00, and Sat April 18 from 10:00–15:00.

When the library is closed, access to the Draama Hall is from the Raastuvankatu side.
