Earth Hour turns the lights off also in Vaasa

Earth Hour is a worldwide, open for all event to raise environmental awareness. During Earth Hour, all non-essential lights are turned off as a symbolic gesture of commitment to the planet and climate action. Lights are turned off also in Vaasa on 23 March 2024.

On Saturday 23 March 2024, people around the world turn off their non-essential lights for the period 20.30–21.30 (8.30 pm–9.30 pm).  

The city of Vaasa participates in the event by reducing the lighting at the Market Square, the city centre esplanade, as well as on Senaatinkatu and Vaasanpuistikko.
