Lifti bus lines 1, 4, 4V, 7, 7K and 12 will be diverted in September

Work by Vaasa Water will begin at the junction of Korsholmanpuistikko and Raastuvankatu on Tuesday 1 September 2026. During the works, buses will not be able to turn from Korsholmanpuistikko onto Raastuvankatu towards the city centre. Buses travelling from the south will therefore take a direct route from Hietalahdenkatu to Raastuvankatu.
The diversion will affect Lifti bus lines 1, 4, 4V, 7, 7K and 12 travelling from the south. Buses travelling from the city centre will follow their normal routes.
The diversions will be in place for four weeks, from 1 September until the end of September.
The changes will be updated in the route planner.
Three bus stops out of service
During the diversion, lines 1, 4, 4V, 7, 7K and 12 will not serve the following three bus stops:
- Hietalahdenkatu 11
- Hietalahdenkatu 5 (Central Hospital)
- Korsholmanpuistikko 6.
Other Lifti lines will continue to serve these bus stops as normal.
Limited impact on other traffic
Cars will still be able to pass through the junction of Korsholmanpuistikko and Raastuvankatu during the works. Left turns will not be possible from any direction, but traffic will be able to continue straight ahead or turn right.
The traffic lights at the junction will be switched off for the duration of the works.
