mÅland - Önningeby Artist's Colony - opening and guided tour

Welcome to the public opening ceremony of the exhibition mÅland – Önningeby Artists’ Colony on Friday 9th October from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tikanoja Art Museum.

At the same time, the permanent exhibition Serene Moments and Vibrant Colours, highlighting the collections of Tikanoja Art Museum, will reopen to the public.

Opening Speech: Kjell Ekström, Chairperson, Önningeby hembygdsförening rf

Curator’s Speech: Janna Sirén, Curator, Vaasa Museums

 

The following day, Saturday 10 October, Kjell Ekström, Chair of the Önningeby Local History Society, will lead a guided tour of the exhibition. Ekström will talk about the history of the artists’ community, focusing in particular on the art of its female members.

The tour will be in Swedish and is included in the price of the museum admission ticket.
