Vote in the European Parliament Elections! In Vaasa, you can cast your vote at 11 advance polling stations

Published: 8.5.2024

The main election day for the European Parliament elections is Sunday, 9 June 2024. You can also vote in advance in Finland from 29 May to 4 June 2024. Advance voting abroad will take place from 29 May to 1 June 2024.

The European Parliament is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union. EU citizens elect its members through direct elections held every five years in all member states. The elections select members to the European Parliament from all EU member states.

The number of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) elected from each EU member state is proportional to the population of the country. In 2024, 720 MEPs will be elected, including 15 from Finland.

In Finland, every person who has turned 18 by the actual election day is eligible to vote. Eligible voters can vote either in advance or on the election day according to their preference.

Vote in Advance; option to vote at a Drive-in Station

Eligible voters can vote either in advance or on the election day. During the advance voting period, eligible voters can vote at any general advance polling station in the country from May 29 to June 4, 2024, or abroad from May 29 to June 1, 2024.

In Vaasa, advance voting is available at eleven locations. Alongside several familiar places around Vaasa, there is a new option: a drive-in station at Kasarmintori. A mobile voting station will also stop at the parking lots of three supermarkets.
