Book a sales spot

Reserve a Sales Spot at Vaasa Market Square Easily via This Link. All market square plots are sized 4×4 meters. The sales spots are located along two walkways running in a north-south direction across the upper and lower parts of the square, with spaces on both sides. Through the booking system, you can reserve a specific plot. You may also set up your sales point in another vacant plot if it is still free at 9:00 AM. However, it must still be located along one of the designated walkways. The central area of the square is reserved for events.

Longer-term bookings or other types of rentals (e.g., promotions or events) are handled via a rental agreement at the Visit Vaasa office. Please book an appointment by email: tori@visitvaasa.fi

PRICE LIST as of 1.9.2024

  • Daily spot / plot (4×4 m): €17.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

  • Monthly spot / plot (4×4 m): €165.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

  • Annual spot / plot (4×4 m): €295.00 (VAT 0%)

  • Food truck / car sales spot / kiosk / 1 month: €260.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

  • Electricity fee / day (three-phase power): €20.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

    • For longer rentals, the renter must make a separate electricity agreement directly with Vaasan Sähkö.

  • Ice cream kiosks / kiosk at the Market Square (max. 4 kiosks): €2,550.00 (VAT 0%)

  • Full market square rental / day: €700.00 (incl. VAT 25.5%)

Market Opening Hours

  • May 15 – August 31: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • September 1 – May 14: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Sales from food-designated spots may continue outside these hours (so-called night sales). Any sales point operating at night must close by 5:00 AM at the latest.

ACCESSING THE MARKET SQUARE BY VEHICLE

The entry route is at the corner of Vaasanpuistikko and Alatori. Approach the square from the north (from the direction of Kokkola) via Vaasanpuistikko and turn immediately into the square after the traffic lights at the Alatori corner.

Exit is via the same corner. The easiest driving route is to turn onto the lower square, then circle via Espen and Hovioikeudenpuistikko to Pitkäkatu (open the map via this link). Longer vehicles such as buses and articulated vehicles may need to turn from the corner onto Vaasanpuistikko and head toward Vaskiluoto—be especially cautious of oncoming traffic on Vaasanpuistikko.

Please Note:

  • The market plot does not include electricity. Electricity is charged separately, and the location of the power connection is assigned individually.

  • Parking on the square is not allowed without a separate parking permit. Parking permits are granted only to annual renters.
