Silvennoinen celebrates his 70th birthday this year and releases a new album. He will celebrate with anniversary concerts together with the musician and actor Heikki Hela. The band is briefly called Silvennoinen & Hela & Band. Their musical spectrum reflects both musicians’ way of playing and their love for music. Silvennoinen’s more British blues influences, even in his Finnish-language songs, recall the style and spirit of names like Clapton and the Yardbirds. While Hela’s songs are characterized by more “California” and airiness. “Uneton yö, Kaikista mästä, Hillitön hopeinen kuu, Naisen hymy” still reminds in its Finnishness of the roots from which everything started.
