Published: 29.5.2026
The summer timetables for Lifti, the public transport service in the Vaasa region, will be in effect from 1 June to 2 August 2026. The prices of all ticket products will increase by €0.30 per journey from 1 July.
The summer timetables for public transport will come into effect on 1 June. There will be some changes to bus timetables over the summer, as summer holidays usually reduce the number of journeys and travel tends to shift to slightly different times of day. Check the current timetables on the Lifti website.
Special timetables this summer:
– Midsummer Eve, 19 June 2026 – Saturday timetables apply until 14.00
– Midsummer Day, 20 June 2026 – no service
Bus fares will rise
At its meeting on 13 May 2026, the Public Transport Committee decided to increase ticket prices by €0.30 per journey from the beginning of July. The decision reflects the rising costs of organising public transport.
Even after the increase, Lifti’s prices remain among the lowest in Finland. In future, an adult single ticket in Zone A will cost €2.10, or €2.60 if paid in cash. The increase will also affect day tickets. For example, an adult 30-day ticket will cost €57.10. The new ticket prices will be updated on the Bus tickets and service points page during the summer.
The aim is to offset rising costs and safeguard the long-term viability of public transport. At the same time, the change helps pave the way for the next contract period, which will begin in 2027.
