Opening of the e-library postponed by a week

The national e-library was originally scheduled to open on 23 April. The new opening date for the service is 29 April when it will be available for download from mobile app stores.
The delay is caused by technical problems. The service is based on a set of different technical solutions, and it took more time than expected to integrate them. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay.
The online service offers a diverse selection of electronic books, audiobooks, and magazines in digital formats. Access is initially provided through a mobile application. The service is provided by the National Library of Finland in cooperation with public libraries.
