Published: 22.10.2026
From 9 to 15 November 2026, students can discover what the City of Vaasa’s cultural and sports services have to offer. Now in its fifth year, the ‘Vaasa <3 Students’ campaign gives higher education students free and affordable ways to enjoy the city’s wide range of cultural and sports activities.
Vaasa is a vibrant student city, where one in five people you meet is a higher education student. Student Benefits Week is part of the City of Vaasa’s efforts to make Vaasa even more student-friendly and appealing to students. During Student Benefits Week, students can enjoy a range of free or low-cost cultural activities and experiences.

Concerts for just €2
Vaasa City Orchestra has a great year-round deal for students – concert tickets for just €2. The Vaasa City Orchestra’s Student Benefits Week concert takes place on Friday 13 November from 18–19 as part of the LittFest literature festival. Taking the stage are Professor of Practice Helena Åhman, Finnish rock legend Tommi Läntinen and the Vaasa City Orchestra. The thought-provoking spectacle Tunnerohkeus & Via Dolorosa (‘Emotional courage & Via Dolorosa’) brings together literature, music, and discussion about facing emotions and interacting with courage.
LittFest brings literary stars to Vaasa
Coinciding with Student Benefits Week, Vaasa LittFest brings the city to life with literature from 12 to 14 November. Featured authors include Monika Fagerholm, Kjell Westö, Kirsti Manninen (Enni Mustonen), Axel Åhman, Emmi Itäranta, Jessikka Aro and Tuomas Enbuske.
