Summer 2026 exceptional opening hours in the City of Vaasa

The city’s units have slightly different opening hours in the summer. Exceptional opening hours are compiled on this page, which will be updated throughout the summer if necessary.
Graphic services (Graafiset palvelut)
Graphic services and the digital print are closed from 6 July to 24 July 2026.
Urban planning (Kaavoitus)
City planning is closed from 6 to 26 July 2026.
Building control (Rakennusvalvonta)
Building control is closed from 6 July to 24 July 2026.
Citizen Service (Kansalaisinfo) and Welcome Office
The Citizen Service and Welcome Office are open Monday–Thursday from 10:00 to 16:00 and Friday from 10:00 to 15:00.
Real estate services customer service (kiinteistötoimi)
Customer service at the Real Estate Services, located at the Technical Services building at Kirkkopuistikko 26, is closed from 6 July to 24 July 2026.
City libraries
Summer opening hours for the libraries can be found here.
Sports services
Sports services are closed from 6 July to 26 July 2026.
Youth services
The youth centres and the indoor skate park will be closed for the summer break.
Ristikka youth center will be open again on August 5. Kultsa and Sumppu, the Kultsa youth café, and the Huudi meeting place reopen on 14 August. The Kyrolä youth centre opens on 19 August. The skate hall reopens after the summer break on 1 September.
The Youth Services camper van Nuoli is on the move throughout the summer according to a separate route schedule. See the timetable here. Youth workers are out in the city meeting young people in Vaasa during the summer.
The Onkilahti traffic park will be open all summer, Monday to Friday from 12 to 18, and Saturday to Sunday from 12 to 16.
Ostrobothnia Employment Services
The service point in Vaasa and the integration reception are closed from 6 to 19 July. The service point in Närpiö is closed from 6 July to 2 August, but appointments can be arranged via our specialists if needed.
In July telephone services have reduced opening hours Monday–Friday from 9:00 to 12:00. The telephone service for business services is exceptionally open Monday–Wednesday from 9:00 to 12:00.
Vaasa Swimming Hall
The Vaasa swimming hall is closed from 4 July to 16 August 2026. See the opening hours of other swimming halls here.
Citizen services in Vähäkyrö
Citizen services in Vähäkyrö is open Monday–Wednesday from 9:00 to 16:00, Thursday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 9:00 to 16:00.
On Thursday 18 June 2026, the service point closes exceptionally at 16:00.
