The Hidden Spots - workshop & collective action 19.7. in Övermark

The exhibition The Hidden Spots is open during the Övermarkdagarna 16-19.7.2026. Artists Bekim Hasaj and Valentina Gelain will be on site to guide and hold a workshop. The workshop will be held on 19 July between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM in Övermark (Dermossvägen 20).

Alongside the tour of the century-old house and ‘The Hidden Spots’ exhibition, artists Hasaj and Gelain will host a workshop on making paper from recycled books and newspapers.

Throughout the day, participants can join artist Bekim Hasaj in creating a collaborative piece for the exhibition: covering the old wooden boat in the garden with handmade paper.

Both the workshop and the exhibition are free, and all materials are provided on site. Feel free to craft your own sheet of paper or contribute directly to the artistic installation. Welcome!

The Hidden Spots art exhibition is placed in an empty one-hundred-year-old house in the village of Övermark. The exhibition is centered on the research work around abandoned places and memories of the artist duo Bekim Hasaj and Valentina Gelain. Known for their multidisciplinary and site-specific art works, the artists reworked the spaces and materials by adding artistic elements that take shape, develop, and re-inhabit the century-old house. Small details placed in unusual corners of the house encourage the public to interact and explore the space in search of the “hidden spots”. The Hidden Spots is part of the interdisciplinary project ‘What is Left in the Temple of Memory’, which explores the concepts of time, memory and space in abandoned places.
