Make a museum for the youth!
The purpose of the Youth Museum Team is to develop museum activities, familiarize youth with culture and let them influence the event selections of Vaasa youth services and museums.
Youth Museum Team – come join and make an impact!
The Youth Museum Team is a group where you get to help develop the museums of Vaasa, brainstorm youth-focused events, and explore culture from a fresh and relaxed perspective. The goal is to make museums more youthful, open, and inspiring – together!
The team is open to everyone aged 13–29. We operate in collaboration with the Vaasa Museums and Youth Services.
What do we do?
- We brainstorm and plan events for young people
- We explore exhibitions and go behind the scenes
- We consider how museums can become more approachable
- We learn new things about culture, art, and creative practices
- We discover new perspectives on the world
We meet once a month on Wednesdays from 15:00 to 17:00.
The meeting place and theme are decided together, and communication happens via email/WhatsApp group. Meetings are announced on Instagram through Reimari.info, Vaasanmuseot and Nuorten_museotiimi.
